But the most interesting thing to know is the comparison of Mbappe’s playstyle to two of the greatest names in the soccer world- Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
So who does Mbappe’s playstyle resemble? According to Manchester United legend, Patrice Evra, the answer is pretty clear.
Patricia Evra believes Cristiano Ronaldo and Mbappe have a lot in common
Patrice Evra is a soccer legend who has captained both Manchester Joined together and France. The retired soccer star recently sat down in an interview with another former French soccer player Jerome Rothen.
When asked about his thoughts on Mbappe’s playing style resembling either Messi or Ronaldo, Evra chose Ronaldo as the more similar mental trait for Mbappe rather than his PSG teammate Messi. “No, he has more about the personality of Cristiano, Mbappé,” Evra said. “It is obvious that Mbappé looks more at the career of Cristiano Ronaldo than Messi.”
However, as Cristiano has been an idol for Mbappe for a long time, this similarity in personality won’t be so surprising.

He then went on to add words of appreciation for the Argentine forward to defend his claim. “But Messi is a talent. Messi, God gave him a talent, he said to him: ‘Come on, go play with these kids'”. Evra then went on to give his reason for choosing Ronaldo, saying, “When I say Cristiano, people always say to me: ‘Ah, because he’s your brother’. No, it’s because his work, his ethics, it’s incredible.”
The pacey forward has already achieved several milestones in his young career. Going by Evra’s statement, just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Mbappe puts in the hard work necessary to get results and is mentally strong enough to ensure these results come about.
