But Pele also left behind a beautiful family, consisting of his seven children. One of those children is Kely Christina Arantes do Nascimento – Pele’s first child and eldest daughter. She was born on Jan. 13, 1967, to Pele and his first wife, Rosemeri. Nascimento was also the first one to break the heartbreaking news of her father’s death. She did so in an emotional Instagram post.

Nascimento recently shared a heartwarming story about a meeting with Antonella Roccuzzo, wife of another soccer legend – Lionel Messi.

It was in the women’s room at a party that Kely Nascimento, had the chance to meet Antonella Roccuzzo. And what a chance it was! The two were able to connect and chat in a way that only women can. And Nascimento was even able to pass along a message to Messi himself.

Nascimento recently posted about the meeting on Instagram, along with a photo of herself and Roccuzzo smiling from ear to ear. In the caption, she wrote, “Storytime: This is the very beautiful and graceful Antonela Roccuzzo, Messi’s wife. I didn’t get a chance to meet Messi so when I met her in that magical place of every party (the women’s bathroom) I messaged him through her”.

It’s a sweet anecdote that perfectly captures the meeting of two sporting icons and their families. Nascimento and Roccuzzo were able to connect on a human level, despite their different backgrounds, and in doing so they were able to create a memorable moment.
