On 16th August 2023, Barcelona brought another legend back to the club. They announced Deco as the sporting director of the club. But Deco refused to give the green light because of the financial problems of the club.
It does not surprise fans as there were even rumors that the Sporting Director also blocked the exit of Raphinha to Saudi Arabia. What makes this even more problematic is that Deco was the former agent of Raphinha.
