Argentina’s manager, Lionel Scaloni, once said that Dybala wasn’t fitting into the squad due to ‘tactical reasons’.

The Argentine manager preferred a more traditional number 9 to lead the line. Scaloni cleared the doubts regarding Dybala’s fitness and said that the Argentine was fit enough to get into the starting XI.

Scaloni entrusted Dybala to take the second penalty in the World Cup final against France. It’s important to remember that Dybala had just come off the bench a few seconds before the final whistle.
