Paul Pogba is seemingly living his best life. Despite being banned from the sport, the French superstar has been greeting revered names, having recently met YouTube sensation IShowSpeed. Now, the latest celebrity he has shaken hands with is Lionel… Messi’s bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko. (So close to breaking the internet.) In fact, during this encounter, Pogba didn’t hesitate to showcase his 1v1 skills, which was enough to ignite a spark of happiness among Inter Miami fans!

A few bits of clips are surfacing online where Cheuko and Pogba are playing with each other. One of the Instagram pages, @433, showcased the two participating in a tantalizing 1v1 Panna battle, where if either of the party nutmegs the other, they win. Paul had control of the ball as he was teasing Yassine with the insole of his foot, trying to get the ball between the legs of the occasional MMA fighter and boxer.

As Cheuko bent to get his foot on the ball, Pogba saw an opportunity for a nutmeg and cleverly did so, leaving the French midfielder as well as the former US Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan in hysterics. However, Paul quickly downplayed his move in order to showcase respect while laughing and said, “You know who this guy is?… You cannot do that to him.”

Then, suddenly overcome with excitement, the muscular Cheuko grabbed Pogba, lifted the soccer star by the waist, and started running, with both simultaneously having a laugh. Either way, it was quite impressive of the former Man United academy prospect to showboat his skills. Even if it may have been quite a while since the French international played professionally, Pogba certainly never lost his touch with the ball.

To remind you, as his career was marred due to injuries, the 31-year-old left Manchester United to rejoin Juventus in 2022, only to be suspended provisionally by Italy’s National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO Italia) the following year in September. Unfortunately, it was found that he had tested positive for DHEA, a prohibited substance that boosts testosterone levels. Although his ban time was around 4 years, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) recently made some reductions.

In the meantime, he was bound to participate in the Dubai-hosted Kings League, but sadly, the tournament was canceled at the eleventh hour. Perhaps a quick detour saw him meet Chueko, which apparently has left many Inter Miami fans in delight.

Just below in the comments section of the Instagram post, you could see a number of Inter Miami fans being ecstatic to see Paul Pogba linking up with Yassine Cheuko. In fact, that led them to imagine so many things.

Looks like David Beckham has another big task to bring another renowned star of the beautiful game to Fort Lauderdale. Aside from being a free agent, Pogba has almost served his ban, so we don’t think why Miami needs a reason for not bringing someone like him. Not to remind Pogba once came to Chase Stadium to watch Messi play:

Back when Paul Pogba was at the peak of his career, we remember the rumor mill linked the midfielder to a move to Barcelona. That would have been a remarkable transfer, considering the iconic trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez was there. While that didn’t happen, Pogba has a chance to once again link up with La Pulga and his friends:

“Sweet. Pogba in Miami would be so fun to see. Never thought I’d see Pogba play with Messi.”

The heights Paul Pogba has touched to impress Inter Miami and Lionel Messi fans! Compromising the very man who protects the Argentinian superstar from any potential threat and on-pitch invaders is pure diabolic from the French superstar and seeing this Messi would have surely given a nod for Pogba, with Cheuko also putting in a word:

“Okay, Inter Miami sign him; Messi approved”

Noted Yassine Cheuko, sir. We know you’re a master in all kinds of fighting techniques but soccer isn’t your forte. Perhaps we may see Cheuko’s boss Messi himself taking revenge on this cheeky nutmeg in one of Inter Miami’s training sessions. But this fan has challenged Pogba to do the same on the 8x Ballon d’Or winner:

“Now tell him to nutmeg Messi”

Having won just the MLS Shield and getting knocked out of the playoffs to fight for the Championship, Inter Miami would be looking for a rebuild this season. Not to forget that Tata Martino left and the Herons found a replacement in the form of Javier Mascherano. The addition of Messi’s best friend along with Pogba is something we aren’t ready to see:
