It has been almost a year since the Russian aggression on Ukraine began. The war has left behind cities turned into rubbles, chaos, and kids losing their entire families. The world, including names like David Beckham, is doing everything in its power to limit the atrocities and help as many people as possible. Even FIFA and UEFA have imposed hefty bans on Russian clubs and the national soccer team. However, the help doesn’t limit to just that, many players are doing the best they can to help affected people in Ukraine.
Even though many stories flow under the radar, a few come out to show the support soccer has been providing in the war-torn nation. After the deal, club president Rinat Akhmetov announced that he would donate the 25 million USD transfer fees they got from Chelsea to the army. Similarly, another soccer legend revealed the charitable endeavors he is engaged in to help Ukraine.
