Wrexham AFC is looking the best they have ever been and is looking to leave behind the 5th-tier soccer. Ever since they acquired the club, it has been doing significantly better. From shocking and impressive FA Cup run to the first-ever title win by Wrexham Women’s team. The stars seem to have aligned for the historically rich Welsh club.
Apart from performing significantly better than most of the teams in the National League on the pitch, it is giving tough competition to even the 2nd tier teams when it comes to fan following and popularity. Having a Hollywood star as popular as Ryan Reynolds has turned the fate of the club overnight.
The club has recently announced a friendly match with the Premier League side Wrexham during the off-season. The announcement made fans’ wildest dreams come true. However, they made it clear that the focus of the team is not the friendlies.

Phil Parkinson cleared the Wrexham priority
While fans are hoping and are confident about the chances of Wrexham getting the promotion, the management is not in the mood of taking chance. Even though it’s almost certain that the Welsh club will end in the top spot, Notts County might present a tough fight for the automatic promotion.
Keeping this in mind, Parkinson has made it clear that the immediate focus of the team is on the upcoming matches, and using them as training helps to prepare for the big matches.

In a talk with the Leader he said, “The pre-season trip is an exciting one and when the time comes, it will be great for the club. But our focus is on this week’s training and the Oldham game at the weekend. Concentration levels are now firmly on what we need to do this week. We need a good week on the training pitch to concentrate on what we did well against York, but improve in areas we can get better at.”
