There is a very fine margin between two of the greatest soccer players in the world. Although Lionel Messi has won the Ballon d’Or 8 times and Cristiano Ronaldo has the most number of goals (869), they have different styles and methods of going about their business. But Francisco Trincao, a young Portuguese soccer player, says that the only difference between the two stars is their demanding nature.
People who played alongside both stars are rare to find. Trincao shared the dressing room with Messi during his days at FC Barcelona and with Ronaldo on the Portuguese national team. According to Trincao, both have the determination to win at any cost. As reported by Sport, according to the magazine Betano, he said, “Both are very demanding. Maybe Cristiano seems a bit more demanding, but they both want to win at all costs.”
Cristiano Ronaldo’s no-compromise attitude is reflected in his fitness and well-known diet routines. The Portuguese star also has a very disciplined training approach, which makes him more hungry and demanding than a normal soccer player. However, Francisco Trincao doesn’t find any significant difference between the two.

The player has played five games with Cristiano Ronaldo from 2020-2021 for Portugal. Trincao also had a 34-game stint with the Argentine legend, in which he assisted Lionel Messi with two goals. Vitinha, the PSG and Portugal star, also faced a similar question, where he could not select a favorite between the two. However, the debate doesn’t seem to end just now.
