Wrexham AFC is having a fine start to the season. Ryan Reynolds’ men can’t stop scoring goals and they stand third in League Two. In the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary, Reynolds revealed that it was quite difficult to sign Elliot Lee. He revealed, “Elliot[Lee] was a player we’d looked at and we chased the hardest because he had a lot of clubs wanted to sign him. He’s another great character and a very gifted footballer.” In retrospect, this looks like a masterstroke of a decision considering how influential the Englishman has been.

Elliot Lee has been Wrexham’s best attacking player with 10 goals in 16 games. Their next-best goalscorer Ollie Palmer, scored less than half of Eliott. The former West Ham star is an ambidextrous soccer player with immense shooting ability. Born into a soccer family, his game intelligence is evident in his ability to play in multiple positions such as left-wing, attacking midfield, and center forward. Yet, his most important attribute seems to be his passion for the club.

Lee describes Wrexham as, “probably one of the best projects in football”. His affection and love for the club stand out in a time when players are lured by money. His combination of soccer skills and personality make up an interesting package, one that seems to have caught the eye of Tom Brady.
