The soccer world is still processing the loss of legendary soccer player Pele. However, even before they could move on from the big loss, soccer suffered another big blow. One more big player has left the world right after the Brazilian legend. The player that passed away was the greatest of his time. We are talking about Cameroon’s soccer legend Modeste M’bami. Many soccer entities are in shock as they got familiar with the news of the star passing.

The legend has played senior soccer for 16 years and played for big names club PSG for 3 years. He had played 343 appearances in club soccer and 37 for his national team. They declared the midfielder dead on 7 January 2023, when he was aged 40.

The untimely death of soccer star

According to the reports, the 40-year-old PSG midfielder got a heart attack on 7th Jan 2023. The attack proved to be fatal, and he passed before he could be hospitalized. His former team, PSG, announced the news among fans with a heartfelt message for the star.

They wrote, “Paris Saint-Germain is in mourning. Modeste M’bami has passed away at the age of 40, after suffering a heart attack. The Cameroonian midfielder joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2003, after wearing the colours of the Académie Kadji Sport, and then Dynamo Douala in Cameroun. M’bami established his name in the world of football at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, with the golden goal in the quarter-finals against the favourites: Ronaldinho’s Brazil.

The world and the fans will be mourning two superstar soccer players and may god give the piece to his family and the strength they need to process the loss.

Pele passed away a week ago

Almost 9 days before the Cameroon star, the Brazilian legend, Pele said goodbye to the fans and left fans in tears as they gather the strength to process the loss. He was suffering from cancer and was going through chemotherapy. One fateful day in November, his doctor diagnosed him with respiratory infections and deduced that his chemotherapy has stopped working.

The legend was taken to life support and spent the remaining of his life in a hospital. Battling with his life and watching the World Cup, he said goodbye to the world right around the turn of the year. May both of the souls rest in peace.
