In her book ‘One Life’, Megan Rapinoe talks about several topics. She talks about her childhood and family, her professional career, and also how she’s striving towards ‘social change’ and equality.

While speaking about her childhood, Rapinoe quoted, “At age four, after only a few attempts, we rode our bikes without training wheels. When Brian did a trick with a soccer ball, all we needed was to watch him once to have it down pat. Our older siblings regarded us as freaks”.

Rapinoe also mentioned that her sister Jenny predicted Rapinoe’s success very early on. Rapinoe continued, “As a child, says my sister Jenny, she remembers looking at us running around the yard and thinking, ‘My sisters are going to get gold medals one day’.”

Megan Rapinoe belongs to a generation of serial winners. She and her co-American soccer star Alex Morgan won the FIFA Women’s World Cup twice back in 2015 and 2019. Megan Rapinoe won “The Best FIFA Women’s Player” in addition to winning the Ballon d’Or in 2019.
