Neymar is undoubtedly one of the best soccer players of his generation. Fans are used to seeing Neymar in the limelight, hailed as a star on the soccer pitch. Recently, however, he has been in the news due to a very different reason.

The 31-year-old Brazillian recently suffered a horrific injury and underwent surgery. Despite the injury, Neymar has continued to connect with his fans in recent times by live streaming on the streaming platform ‘Twitch’. During one of his streamed sessions, the soccer ace, amid his surgery, shed tears publicly after losing a huge amount of money in a poker game.

Neymar couldn’t hold in tears after losing money

Neymar can be seen to be truly dedicated to soccer as he is often lauded for his on-field feat and technique. But the Brazillian forward is also an avid fan of poker. Poker is something that Neymar not only enjoys but is also good at.

In the unfortunate incident, Neymar recently lost almost $976,000 in one game of poker alone. After the loss, Neymar can be seen jokingly pretending to cry with a rip off of the Titanic theme music playing in the background.

Neymar with a roar of laughter said, “Oh f**k, I’m going to put this on YouTube”. Going by Neymar’s reaction to the incident it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that he takes his poker game seriously. We might be able to witness more of him playing poker as he is still out of soccer action.

Neymar’s injury has ruled him out of soccer

Neymar showed tremendous performance this season, with 18 goals and 17 assists for Paris Saint-Germain. Unfortunately, this got followed by catastrophic ankle damage he acquired in a Ligue 1 clash against Lille last month. His career has been full of injuries, and this time it was the same.

Neymar had to undergo surgery after the injury, which was fortunately successful. However, the extent of his injury requires an extended period for a full recovery. Due to this, he has been ruled out for the rest of the season. This leaves PSG without their Brazilian forward as they enter the last stretch of their season.
