On Thursday, the Deadpool star made a cryptic tweet regarding Wrexham. It bemused the club fans as they thought the owners are looking to change the name of the third-oldest soccer club. On the other hand, a few fans thought Reynolds tweeted about the preseason game against Manchester United. It didn’t take long for the fans to know the reason behind the tweet.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney released an official video where they apologized for that tweet. But it wasn’t the only thing. The duo announced new front jersey sponsors for the club after the two-year deal with TikTok ended. They announced United Airlines as a new sponsor. However, Jackman took the opportunity and took a dig at Reynolds.

The Wolverine star wrote, “Rob’s looking really fit,” on Instagram in the comments below the reel. The Deadpool-3 actors have often indulged in fitness battles over social media. It will be interesting to see the response of the Wrexham co-owner. The banter between the two could have continued on the field, too, had Jackman accepted a sensational offer.

Recently Jackman revealed a non-league club offered a stake for a mere $1. The offer came after Reynolds and McElhenney bought Wrexham in February 2021. However, The Wolverine star was reluctant then. Meanwhile, Jackman, a Norwich City fan, hopes his favorite club beats the Red Dragons once on the field if they meet. Let’s see if Jackman’s dream comes true.
