Recently, former Arsenal and current BBC pundit Ray Parlour sat for an exclusive chat with MightyTips. While discussing important matters pertaining to soccer, Mo Salah emerged as the topic of discussion. Parlour was asked if Liverpool would retain him or eventually sell him. He said, “No, I don’t think he will, and I think Liverpool know that as well.” He insisted it would have been difficult for the Reds to replace their star player. However, the pundit claimed that the Saudi clubs are “in for a long haul,” and will try again for the Egyptian.
Parlour then quoted Cristiano Ronaldo’s example, “If they’re doing well in the league, they’re not going to let him go in January. But maybe they’ll deal with the player and say, look, give us the rest of the season, a little bit like Ronaldo at Manchester United. They gave him their blessing and said, look, off you go, earn some money, and do whatever you want to do. I’m sure he’s not short of money now, at Liverpool, but he’s going to earn ridiculous amounts.”

The former Arsenal player also urged Liverpool to utilize the opportunity and try to secure the incoming of “another Mo Salah” with the money from the incoming proposal. Parlour concluded, “He failed at Chelsea, and Liverpool got the best out of him, so there are players out there who can probably do a job as well.” Indeed, his words suggest Salah may eventually leave Liverpool for Saudi. It remains to be seen when that will happen. But the bigger question is; should the Reds sell the Egyptian?
Should Liverpool sell Mohamed Salah?
At 31, Salah still possesses the ability to secure more prestigious accomplishments. The winger played an instrumental role in Liverpool’s historic Premier League victory in the 2019-20 season.
