NWSL is a soccer revolution itself. A perfect example of the snowball effect, the women’s league is ready to disrupt the US landscape of the beautiful game. After undergoing multiple changes this season, including the vibrant contemporary jersey concept, the premier American women’s soccer competition is set for an extended partnership with one of the world’s most widely recognized companies Amazon.

After a four-year deal with CBS Sports, the NWSL has now moved on to different platforms for airing the games. Amazon, being one of them, is now more than just a broadcasting partner. According to a recent announcement, NWSL and Amazon have reached an agreement for a multi-year sponsorship. With finances not disclosed yet, Amazon will be the exclusive retail sponsor for NWSL that will sell the official merchandise of the league and also partner in presenting the league’s best eleven awards apart from broadcasting a few games of the league.

Meanwhile, NWSL already announced a $240 million broadcasting deal in November last year, with four different platforms splitting the games over the next four seasons. Amazon Prime Video is one of the four apart from ESPN, CBS, and Scripps’ Ion and will air 25 regular season games along with one quarterfinal. Additionally, the 2024 UKG Challenge Cup between the Cup winners NY/NJ Gotham FC and the shield winners San Diego Wave will be streaming live on the platform on Friday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

In addition, the move to Amazon Prime Video will also allow fans to access more content in terms of historical footage and surface highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. Using cloud services from Amazon Web Services (AWS), the content will be transferred from various platforms to Prime Video.
