Former Real Madrid star Fabio Coentrao recently spoke on his switch to becoming a professional fisherman. The Portuguese soccer player was a part of the Real Madrid side from 2011 to 2018, winning two Champions League titles in the process.
In a recent interview, Coentrao talked about his decision to pursue fishing. The former soccer player mentioned that his family was always close to the sea, and this is something he has always enjoyed.

Whenever I had that bit of time off, whenever I was on holiday, my life was… it was the sea, it was fishing. And of course, I knew that one day football would end. I would have to take another direction in my life. My happiness is this land, the sea. And obviously, that being so, I want to lead this life.”
Coentrao has expanded his business over the years, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s former teammate now owning a big business. In 2022, the Portuguese decided to expand his business and now has over fifty people working for him.
