Despite all this, Alba chose Miami. The first and most obvious reason is the allure of the United States and playing once again with ex-teammates Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi. But in a recent interview, Alba revealed that it was in fact Miami HC Tata Martino who lured him to the MLS.

Alba, in a recent interview, revealed that the 60-year-old Martino made him feel like a key part of the project, which was the main reason for him joining Miami. “The important thing for me was to feel important. The confidence of the coach [Tata Martino] made me assess the option and it has done me good. I also saw the desire for [Martino] to come and that is why I have come here,” revealed Alba.
