Gregg Berhalter has taken the headlines over the past few weeks. The USMNT coach may have done a fair job for the boys; however, some believe it’s the end of the road for him.

The national side failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. However, they managed to qualify for this year’s tournament. But that didn’t also go extremely well for the stars and the stripes.
The CONCACAF nation managed to win just a single group game against Iran and drew twice against Wales and England. They may have managed to qualify for the Round of 16, but all that went in vain as they were thrashed by the Netherlands.
Will Gregg Berhalter continue as the USMNT coach?
Berhalter may deserve some praise for the job, but fans believe it’s time for him to leave the National camp. However, over the years, many have been skeptical about Berhalter leading the U.S. soccer national team.
Moreover, the old scandal with his wife that got him into the headlines recently, has added fuel to the fire. The 49-year-old is currently under ongoing investigation with the USSF due to an altercation with her wife back in 1991.

This incident came out after the world cup after Gio Reyna’s mother gave the information to the US soccer authorities regarding the incident. It was being said that the gaffer’s poor treatment of Gio during the World Cup instigated Danielle to reveal the truth about her roommate Rosalinda, Gregg’s then-girlfriend.
For now, he’s not wearing his managerial cap, as his contract expired earlier this month and the USMNT will not take any decisions until the end of the investigation. There are rumors that he won’t continue, as several managers, including Zidane and Mourinho, are rumored to take over the vacant job.
Fans react to Premier League links
In the meantime, while he’s out of action, netizens are linking Gregg to several teams. Recently, the podcast platform, “Men in Blazers” had an interesting take on the former LA Galaxy defender.

Berhalter is getting bantered to take the job as an Everton manager, who was recently relieved of his duties. And fans around the world have taken the internet as they banter about Gregg.

One fan took two birds with one stones, as he took a dig on both Gregg and Tottenham Hotspur.
That's so Spursy.

Perhaps the bantering will go on, but for now, it’s still unclear what will happen with Berhalter.
