Gomez exposed Gareth Southgate

After a very dull and goalless match, fans were sad and football pundits were calling out the English team for playing slowly. One such person is Herculez Gomez. The former MLS veteran had some hard words for the manager of the English team. Gomez is covering FIFA WC 2022, for ESPN. and the statement came during the post-match discussion.

Gomez said, “Semi-final in the world cup, finals in the Euros; Golden generation… A very good team. But, you made this team, I think you exposed them a bit. What you expose is their manager. Southgate is not at the level of his players, and that was exposed today.” Clearly, he is not happy with the way Gareth Southgate is handling the team.
