Soccer stars have a life like the rest of us. Taking the case of Wrexham AFC’s Paul Mullin, who has various avocations, but to him, movies are not a strong point of interest. Before this, he expressed that he is not a movie aficionado, even though the team’s owners work in Hollywood. Despite not watching many movies, the striker has immense appreciation for one of Ryan Reynolds’ $200 million film.
Of course, the obvious guess would be Deadpool. Well no, it is not. Mullin shared his favorite Ryan movie, which has multiple big hitters on the cast listing.

In an interview with Goal, Mullin mentioned, “I actually enjoyed Red Notice. I’m not a big film person and don’t tend to watch many films.” Released in 2021, the action-comedy hit the theaters with a star cast comprising Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot. The plot is about an Interpol agent who looks to arrest a thief specializing in artifacts. Another rival bandit helps the protagonist to catch the notorious robber. The film has its own fair share of action sequences and slap-stick comic relief.
The film received an IMDB rating of 6.3 and received mixed reviews. It is available on Netflix and became the most-watched movie during the opening weekend. The producers have planned sequels and who knows, Mullin could get a shot. In fact, he had earlier wished to act in a movie with Ryan.
With Deadpool 3 just around the corner, Mullin had funnily expressed his intentions to act in a film. He stated, “Deadpool 3 is around the corner, maybe we’ll get a shout in that, never know.” The club’s owners have changed the vibes around the club with their sprinkle of Hollywood stardust!

According to him, never a movie buff, Mullin did a pretty satisfactory job in ‘Welcome to Wrexham.’ The striker featured in the fabled docuseries of the rise of Wrexham to the top. Being a club in the perils of extinction, the soccer gods blessed them with sensational owners who invested heavily in the club. In the end, they received a promotion to EFL League Two.
