However, pop star Adele is the latest high-profile name to comment about the ex-Three Lions captain’s Netflix series.

Music icon Adele, who was recently performing in Las Vegas spoke out about the Beckham Netflix documentary after she binge-watched it on the popular streaming platform. The British singer also suggested that Beckham and his wife Victoria were almost like royalty and that she was incredibly moved after watching it.

During her concerts, the British pop star Adele was filmed talking about the Inter Miami owner’s Netflix series suggesting that her audience should watch it. In one of her shows in Vegas, Adele said, “To us, because I’m British, Beckham and Posh are literally like our king and queen,” “For real – we absolutely love them. It feels like my whole life I’ve been watching them and loving everything that they do. So I watched it and it made me feel very nostalgic.” “I just love a bit of Beckham, really. He’s absolutely the national worldwide treasure to me.”

In another subsequent show, the singer confessed to watching the documentary into the wee hours of the morning, while also touching upon the nostalgia she felt as she said, “And I finished it last night and I didn’t want to go to sleep. I absolutely loved it. I thought it was wonderful. It was very nostalgic and very moving and it made me very homesick.”

It’s certain that David Beckham has made a huge comeback in terms of popularity after the release of his documentary. However, Beckham is yet to receive the honor knighthood in his native country of England, which a UK socialite seems to think is long overdue.

Just before the release of the Inter Miami owner’s new Netflix docu-series Lady Victoria Hervey discussed the former Three Lions captain being a British ‘icon’ and the topic of his knighthood.

Speaking to GB News host Mark Dolan, Lady Victoria Hervey stated, ‘It’s been kind of a long time coming… There’s been talk about it for the last two decades… I think he does deserve it and hope he gets it this time.’

However, whether the royal family eventually knights Beckham or not remains a huge matter of debate. But it’s certain that the former England captain is one of Britain’s most popular icons of all time.
