In an interview with the YouTube channel Clank!, the former Barcelona star talked about the reason behind his success alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. The player also fired shots at players who preferred playing for individual goals rather than for the team.
El Pistolero stated, “There are players that want to win for the team and then there are individuals that make the difference because what wants to you win the game is the group. Let’s say and when you see three players. Because at that time I came from Liverpool to be a figure in Barcelona. Leo read where he was going to play. How are you going to be with the ego football players have today?”
“We showed that we were friendly teammates. And knowing if each one fulfilled our role, it was going to be great at Barcelona. Then we see that there was no individuality, there was no selfishness. All the Barcelona teammates saw that none of the three of us were selfish,” Luis Suarez added.
MSN had a fantastic time together during their time in Barcelona. Luis Suarez’s words can be taken at face value, with all three players posting impressive numbers from 2014 to 2017 during their time together at Barcelona.
