As far as soccer players are considered, almost everyone desires to win the UEFA Champions League title at least once in their lifetime. But Ben Foster, who played a crucial role in Wrexham winning the league in 2022, has different priorities. It is to be noted that after saying goodbye to his professional career, the former Manchester United goalkeeper came out of retirement to play for the Wrexham AFC, a League Two club in the EFL.
Notably, it was a brave decision from Foster to join the Red Dragons on a three-month deal. Now, with his Wrexham future up in the air, the English goalkeeper has made another bold choice.

Ben Foster retired from soccer last year in September. He turned down several offers before retirement. After retirement, Foster became a full-time podcaster. He started a podcast, Fozcast- The Ben Foster Podcast. He already had a YouTube channel named Ben Foster- The Cycling Gk, and it was a hit. Foster shocked everyone by joining Wrexham AFC in March.
His heroics against the fiercest rivals, Notts County, helped the club achieve promotion by winning the National League title. Recently he was on The Fellas podcast, where the hosts asked him a surprising question. One of the hosts asked Foster if he will choose the UEFA Champions League medal over his post-retirement medal. His reply stunned the hosts.
“No chance. No way on this earth. I don’t care about winning stuff,” Foster said. “It doesn’t bother me. I’m double proud of the few things I’ve actually won in football. But I will never ever. It’s not something that I’ll ever think about. I promise you. I’ve had a good career. I’m more than happy with my career, for sure. I think I’ve found something with YouTube and Podcasts,” Foster added.
The Red Dragons offered a new deal to Ben Foster

The former Manchester United goalkeeper joined the Ryan Reynolds club on a short-term deal. The owners convinced him to come out of retirement and join the Red Dragons. They decided starting goalkeeper Rob Lainton got injured. Wrexham recently published a significant squad update.
Ben Foster received a new deal from the club. However, he is yet to decide on his future. It will be interesting to see what the decision of the goalkeeper would be. The fans would hope he stays for another season, as his experience in the top leagues will come in handy for the club.
