In a sit-down interview with his club, a Manchester United star commented on people comparing his playstyle to La Pulga, stating, “No one plays like Messi.”

Manchester United is going through a rough season and will hope that their players step up to the occasion and help the team out of the rut. Amad Diallo rebukes comparisons with Lionel Messi

Manchester United star Amad Diallo was full of praise for Lionel Messi during his sit-down interview with the club. While addressing comments from Argentine star Papu Gomez who claimed Diallo has glimpses of Messi, Diallo was quick to chuck out the comments.

While commenting on comparisons with Lionel Messi Diallo stated, “I know they said this [that I was like Lionel Messi in training] but no one plays like Messi. No one plays like Messi. I am proud he [Papu Gomez] says I play like Messi but I say no one plays like Messi!”

He then continued, “In training, I was like the same here, with a little bit of dribbling and scoring, so they say my football is more like Messi but, today, I say no one can play like Messi.”

Diallo will hope to make his way into Erik ten Hag’s first team with Manchester United currently struggling with injuries. The player could make an appearance for the side in the upcoming cup tie against Wigan Athletic, which could be a big chance for the player to prove his worth.
