“No Deadpool, No Party” – Wrexham Fans Brutally Troll Manchester City’s Treble Winning Bus Parade as Streets Remain Almost Empty

The 2023/24 season saw Manchester City winning their first UEFA Champions League title in the club’s history. In addition, they also won their first treble after winning the Premier League and the FA Cup trophies this season. The club rapidly rose to the top since its takeover by the Abu Dhabi group. Similarly, another club that relished a turn of fortunes is Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC. The soccer club received a promotion to EFL League Two after 15 years, and their fans are excited. Moreover, it is customary for the teams to have a title parade in their town to celebrate their success. 

But the fans of Wrexham pointed out a glaring picture of how the streets remain empty for City’s title parade compared to Wrexham’s. Therefore, fans expressed their views on Twitter about how title celebrations were insignificant in Manchester. 

Fans react to empty streets for Manchester City’s title celebrations compared to Wrexham

In the two pictures a fan shared, the tweet shows two contrasting images of fans in attendance for the celebrations. For City’s title celebrations, one can see they hardly filled the streets up in their iconic season. On the other hand, the streets of Wrexham are filled with fans, with no space to move in their joyous moment. One fan pointed out, “Wrexham fans taking the p**s out of City’s treble parade do have a point.” The soccer fans pointed out the picture and took banter with Pep Guardiola’s blue army. 

One fan mentioned, “To be fair, no Deadpool, no party.” The influential Ryan Reynolds transformed the club from top to bottom. They made wise recruitments and led the team to a historic promotion run. The club widened its fan base as Reynolds did a fine job of increasing the club’s fan base.

Another fan explained how Wrexham had more fans than City. The fan pointed out, “Wrexham has 10 times more fan base than City why am I not surprised.” However, there was support for Manchester. Fans pointed out how they were just getting started for the celebrations. 

Manchester City deserves all the plaudits

Significantly, the club won its first treble, an achievement that is not straightforward according to one fan. The fan tweeted, “Some people who like a team called Wrexham made fun of a team called City because they won three championships.” The only English club to do this feat was Manchester United in 1999. Upon all the banter, it is clear that City is a famous club, and no one can take away their success this season.
