While Lionel Messi is living his best life at Inter Miami, the same cannot be said for what he left behind: his former childhood club, FC Barcelona. Currently, the Spanish side is in financial turmoil, which has forced them to prohibit unjustified expenses. In the midst of dilemma resolutions, the club has decided not to offer breakfast to their youth teams.

Barcelona’s La Masia has been the backbone of the Blaugranas since its inception. The academy has sculpted the stars of yesterday and today. But the club has now taken a huge decision against their very own little ones. Apparently, Joan Laporta and Co. has decided to remove breakfast for all the youth teams.
As per the reports, the decision comes after the club realized not all the starlets are taking advantage of the breakfast they are getting served. The Catalans believe it is an unjustified expense and removing it will surely help them save a few bucks. This led the 5X UCL winners to take such an eyebrow-rasing decision.
Whether it’s been taken due to financial reasons or with smartness, it shows how much the club is suffering. Already, the $5.51 billion-worth club has witnessed a massive clearout in their squad. They have also been making salary cuts for both the players and staff. Be that as it may, the club definitely isn’t in a good position as of now. Their financial struggle was the reason that saw Messi leave Camp Nou.
Today, however, the Argentine seems to be happy where he is. In fact, he already won his first trophy with Inter Miami.
