The leading sports brand will launch a new version of iconic boots to pay tribute to its ever-loyal partner Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has been dealing with different businesses in the last couple of weeks. His partnerships have profited the brands in a huge way. This time Nike continues to build on the advantage by planning its new version of Ronaldo’s iconic boots.

Nike’s Mercurial Dream Speed 7 leaked

Cristiano Ronaldo has been wearing Nike’s Mercurial series for 20 years. This time Nike wanted to go with a modified version of Mercurial Vapor IV, which launched in 2008 and was worn by Ronaldo to score his first Hattrick. According to reports, Dream Speed 7’s pictures were leaked with the boots having a similar skin to the 2008 version.

The orange-colored boots have the Nike symbol on them, with a design of plus symbols in the middle and the back. The premium series, however, is not accessible to everyone except a few exclusive Nike athletes. Players like Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappé and female stars like Sam Ker and Caroline Graham are expected to flaunt them.

Made in red and orange, the Vapor version has a 3/4 Zoom Air unit plate specifically made for soccer. The higher part is of Vaporposite material that will improve ball control. The studs are made to provide a wide-range grip along with control during strong attacks.

The close bond between Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo started with Nike in 2003, and since then, the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner has never left the brand and has been made a lifetime partner of the American brand. The former Manchester United star has worn more than 30 variations of the Mercury in the last 20 years. But this time Nike decided to go back to its 2008 revamp dedicated to Ronaldo’s United diaries.

Ronaldo had a brilliant 2008–09 season, scoring 26 goals and providing 12 assists. More than 15 years later, Nike has come up with a new innovation that is expected to cost around $285. The brand is expected to announce the boots today in two types: Superfly (high-cut) and Vapor (low-cut). With already 45 goals this season, Ronaldo could add a few more with these power cleats.
