The bidding war for the NHL ice hockey team Ottawa Senators is reaching its anti-climax. After several months of various bids received, the owners of Senators have not finished the sale. Hence, numerous groups have no clue regarding the current sale of the Senators. Thus, in a recent interview with Etalk, Wrexham soccer team owner Ryan Reynolds explained the ongoing bidding process. However, he jokingly said how it has not come to fruition. Amid all the bidding wars with Dwayne Johnson, there is no end to the sale of the Senators.
With various companies lined up, things look bleak for the bidders as there is no update on whether a bid is accepted. Ryan gave an update jokingly after no updates came out from the Senators. To this, Ryan replied, “I don’t think the Canucks are for sale.” They went back and forth as the interviewer suggested, “Well, I’m sure you can make an offer.”
Ryan replied he was not good with Economics. He stated, “There is a barrier to entry. You do ask me. I am no economist but yeah.” After all the pleasantries, the interviewer asked about the update with the Senators. With no information yet, Ryan replied, “We’re sitting with the NDA at the moment. So yeah, that’s about where we are.”
The process to buy the Senators has intensified recently as many groups have expressed their interest. They value the franchise at $800 million, but various groups are ready to pay up to the $1 billion mark.
