The two-time European champions cannot catch a break. American billionaire Todd Boehly is unhappy with the group, and signings have not worked.

When compared to Wrexham and their soccer running strategy, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney played their roles flawlessly. They knew what to do for their club and got a promotion to the EFL League Two.

However, unlike Boehly, the Wrexham owners took a crucial step to avoid confusion with the squad. And that turned out to be a masterstroke decision as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave him the ultimate advice.

In a previous interview, Rob opened up on the golden advice Jerry Jones gave him that became successful for Wrexham in their approach. He mentioned, “No. We learned a very important lesson. And I think I learned it from Jerry Jones, which is not ever meeting Jerry Jones, just seeing Jerry Jones on TV. Stay out of the locker room! Stay out of the lobby.” 

When owners take over the club, fans expect them to run the financial and marketing side of things. But entering the locker room is unheard of unless there is a celebration. 

The sport side of things is not easy to grasp as there are coaches and their staff for it. The players want an environment they can thrive, as Wrexham’s owners provided the proper type of platform for the players. Jerry Jones is one of the iconic owners in the NFL and won the Super Bowl three times. Likewise, he won the 2014 NFL Executive of the Year. He knows to run things at the club.

Likewise, Ryan and Rob took their players on a Las Vegas trip to enjoy their latest achievement. Apart from that, they do not interfere in the sports side of things. But Boehly broke the fourth wall and entered the Chelsea dressing room.

According to the Telegraph, Todd entered the dressing room of Chelsea after their 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion. When interim manager Frank Lampard arrived, he expressed how he wanted the club to improve their form. Fans did not digest the move well, as it disgruntled Chelsea fans. There is unrest at Chelsea right now, but with Mauricio Pochettino set to arrive, things will hopefully change. 

Being an owner of a massive soccer club is no easy feat. There is pressure for the clubs to succeed in every game. Therefore, taking a page from the Wrexham owners’ playbook would do wonders for them. Is it the right approach from Wrexham fans?
