Meeting someone for the first time and trying to steer the conversation into idle chatter is an uncomfortable situation almost all of us can relate to.. Even superstars like Alex Morgan have had moments where the exchange doesn’t quite go as planned.
Sports stars have to interact with a lot of different people, regardless of their stardom. That is why it comes as no surprise that a USWNT household name like Alex Morgan ran into what can be called a super awkward situation when meeting the Gronkowski brothers in 2013.

Morgan, who had earned an Olympic gold medal just a year before, endured a painfully awkward interaction with the Gronkowskis. Alex Morgan was in Gillette stadium to film a commercial for Fox Sports when she happened to cross paths with NFL star Rob Gronkowski and his two brothers Dan Gronkowski and Chris Gronkowski.

The brothers arrived one by one, beginning with Rob and followed by Chris and Dan. The video starts with a basic introduction. However, the conversation quickly stalls and it’s clear that the four participants aren’t sure how to continue with the small talk.
Before long, the video ended abruptly, as if the cameraman also sensed how weird the exchange had gotten. While it may have been an uncomfortable interlude for Morgan, the incident can serve as a reminder that even celebrities with international acclaim aren’t entirely impervious to the uncomfortable dance of small talk.
Everyone experiences these moments and faces the same challenge of seeking friendly conversation with new acquaintances. While this was certainly an embarrassing moment for Morgan, it’s nothing compared to what she had to face in 2017 after being kicked out of Disney World.

In 2017, USWNT star Alex Morgan experienced an embarrassing incident while visiting Disney World. She visited the theme park with her fellow teammates of Orlando Pride at the time. The USWNT star was accused of being verbally aggressive toward other guests at the Park.

This led to an altercation that drew the attention of local police and hotel management units. Although no charges were filed, Morgan took to Twitter afterwards to apologize for her actions. Thankfully, Morgan was able to look past this embarrassing episode, using it as a learning experience.
