The world once again woke up to the inevitable news of Tom Brady’s retirement a couple of days ago. This time, though, it felt normal. After his first retirement, renowned soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo revealed the fascinating conversations with the GOAT. Speculations mounted on how Ronaldo convinced Brady to continue to play, but he denied it and clarified how they “spoke in general.” The conversations became untapped during his famous outburst interview with noted journalist Piers Morgan.

The Manchester United star had his contract terminated after falling out with the club and manager. Therefore, the Portuguese superstar appeared in a controversial interview that echoes through the halls of Old Trafford. Soon after, he moved to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr to carry on with his soccer. Yet, everyone wanted to know the conversations which happened when the two GOATs collided against the backdrop of the Alex Ferguson Stand.

To claim that he motivated Brady to make a comeback, Ronaldo conversed with Piers Morgan to spill the details. He said, “Psychology, see? I thought he [Brady] took the decision [retirement reversal] a few weeks before. We spoke in general. He’s a very very smart guy, he knows a lot about football. We had a nice conversation. He gave me good energy.”

Netizens couldn’t believe it when the two met. It became the perfect conversation for Brady to have during that moment. CR7 also stated the positive vibes he received from Brady. Ronaldo continued, “When you have another GOAT, it’s energy. It’s all about energy. When you have good energy around you, I can do interesting things.”

Yet, age catches up with everyone, and both athletes are not at the peak of their powers.

The final season Brady ended when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers played against the Dallas Cowboys, where he lost the game 31-14. He attempted 66 passes and completed 35 while having two touchdowns and one interception. It was the end of the road for Brady, who then took to social media to address his retirement.

On the other hand, Ronaldo left Manchester United to join Al-Nassr. After having a disappointing World Cup with Portugal, he scored the biggest goal of his career by claiming a $75 million a year contract for two years. As one retired, the other is still playing and looking to return to Europe. Whatever is said and done, they will go into the pantheon of greats in their respective sports.
