Tyreek Hill is known for his lightning-fast speed and is one of the faster players in American sports today. The wide receiver plays for the Miami Dolphins and recently shared a video to welcome a fellow athlete to the city of Miami.
In the video, Hill introduced himself and said, “I just want to say welcome to the 305, Lionel Messi”. Hill went on to make a bold statement, “Now we got two number tens, but I just want to know which one is the fastest”. He then sent out his congratulations to the 35-year-old.

Hill seems to be challenging the Argentine to a race to see who is the faster athlete. It is fascinating to ponder who would win in a race between the two number tens, Hill and Messi. Messi for more than 15 years has been a dominant force in soccer, completely rewriting the record books and setting new benchmarks that seem almost impossible to beat. Messi is undeniably one of the greatest players to have ever graced the soccer pitch.
However, when it comes to speed, there are those who might argue that he is not quite up to par with Hill’s remarkable speed. The idea of the two athletes going head-to-head in a foot race has certainly caught the imagination of sports fans in America. It is quite evident that Hill is not one to shy away from a challenge himself. The wide receiver had earlier called out the legendary sprinter Usain Bolt for a race, something that stirred up some controversy.
That time Tyreek Hill challenged Usain Bolt
Last year, there was some controversy around Tyreek Hill and his claims about the fastest man on earth, Usain Bolt. During a podcast appearance, Hill boldly stated that Bolt was “washed up” and had no chance of beating him in a 40-yard dash. This statement provoked a response from the gold medalist himself. Bolt promptly shut down any race possibilities with a diss on Hill.

He did so while taking a jab at Hill by posting a picture of him losing to another athlete. Despite this setback, Hill remained confident in his abilities. He asserted that Bolt “got out of the game for a reason” and couldn’t keep up with him in shorter sprints. Despite all this talk, however, the race between the two has yet to materialize.
