Retirement life has not been the manner in which many would have expected for NFL legend JJ Watt. At the end of the 2022 season, the 3x NFL Defensive Player of the Year made his retirement announcement. However, retirement hasn’t kept him idle as at the start of May JJ Watt became an investor in the $143 million worth soccer team, Burnley FC.

Just a week later Burnley lifted the EFL Championship trophy. After leading the EFL Championship for months and ending with a 10-point lead it earned a promotion to the Premier League. Burnley lifted its first trophy since the arrival of its star new investor. The moment was quite delightful as the players, manager, and fans took part in the celebrations. But it was JJ Watt – the new investor – who added a hilarious element to the celebrations.

JJ Watt makes a humorous remark

Monday witnessed the celebrations of Burnley FC at its last EFL game. And what a moment it was as the team lifted the Championship trophy.
