Brazil, after a disappointing FIFA World Cup campaign, saw Tite leaving the managerial role. Croatia knocked them out of the tournament in the quarterfinal on penalties. Brazil came into the World Cup as the most favorite team. Now, Brazil federation has set its sights on the Portuguese to take over the vacant managerial position.
Brazil wants Jose Mourinho and is ready to move fast
The Special One, enjoying his Christmas holidays in Portugal currently, is the top target for the Brazil national team to take over. Tite left the position after a dismal World Cup campaign. Brazil is looking for a profile who can manage the bunch of superstars in the team and has prioritized Mourinho for his achievements to date.
The Italian outlet La Repubblica has claimed that there will be a meeting between the Brazil Football Federation representative and Jose Mourinho on Friday. The President of the Federation is on good terms with the Super Agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Mourinho, and wants to conclude the talks at the earliest.

Before Mourinho, reports also linked Brazil with two high-profile candidates. Pep Guardiola was the top target for the role even before the World Cup started, but he extended his contract with his current team Manchester City.
It was then reported Brazil Federation is fond of the current Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti’s man management style was the reason behind the decision of Brazil to go for the Italian. Although, Carlo Ancelotti is focused on the second half of the season with Real Madrid, making Mourinho the number one target. But Brazil is set to have tough competition from Portugal for appointing Mourinho.

Another soccer giant, Portugal, is also in line to appoint the Portuguese to replace Fernando Santos. They want a dream reunion of Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo (linked with a move to Real Madrid) as the duo had worked their magic earlier at Real Madrid.

However, reports suggest that Mourinho is not happy at Roma. The club is not interested in investing in the squad to meet the FFP. Also, the manager is not happy with the attitude of certain players.
