What went wrong for Neymar Jr. at Al Hilal? Since signing with the Saudi Pro League outfit in the summer of 2023, the Brazilian superstar has played just over 428 minutes across 7 games. While injuries have significantly limited his game time, off-pitch controversies involving the forward have also stirred attention. Amidst these challenges, Neymar now faces a potential contract termination. However, he has been urged to reunite with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami to ‘elevate‘ his life.

They say “You are known by the company you keep.” Those were the days when Neymar used to play with Messi and Luis Suarez at FC Barcelona, forging an iconic ‘MSN’ trio. ‘Eat, sleep, football, repeat’ used to be the motto of this threesome as they achieved remarkable things. However, ever since the band got separated, life has rather gone south for Neymar—albeit he had his own reunion moment with Messi at PSG.

However, Nico Cantor of CBS Sports Golazo believes things can come back on track for the 32-year-old if he manages to move to the Florida-based club. “All signs point to Miami,” began Cantor on the Golazo America show. “If I’m a team, would I want to take on Neymar with everything that surrounds him? Because we know he’s injury-prone.”

Being injured, Neymar has no choice but to avoid kicking the ball. However, the former Santos man is simultaneously seen indulging in various off-pitch extravagances. “We know that he likes to incorporate his off-the-field business ventures. It feels like, for the last year or so, we’ve been talking more about things Neymar has been doing off the pitch rather than on it.”

Considering he lacks friendships in Al Hilal, that gives Ney a reason to do all the off-pitch distractions. However, if he ends up joining the locker room surrounded by his former Barcelona teammates including Messi, Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, the trickster may get a motivation to fight back. “At Miami, though, within the locker room, I think his standard would elevate because he wouldn’t be the alpha in the Inter Miami locker room. That would be Messi, Luis Suarez,” concluded Cantor.

Looks like Neymar has been given yet another escape route from all the misery he has been facing. The veteran faces an on-the-edge situation with his current side and his future is already up in the air. Not to forget his latest investment has ignited the rumors of him joining Messi and Co. even more!

Is Neymar already planning a move to Inter Miami?

While the world has been directing the Brazilian to join Inter Miami, it seems Neymar has already been working on his own move. Reports indicate that he has acquired a waterfront property worth over $26 million in Miami’s exclusive, gated Bal Harbour community. The 0.63-acre property boasts 150 feet of frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway and includes approved plans for a 13,000-square-foot residence designed by the London firm Elicyon.

This purchase has fueled speculation that Neymar may be preparing to leave Saudi Arabia, especially with his contract at Al Hilal potentially ending sooner than expected, as the club reportedly aims to part ways with him as early as January, despite his contract running until the summer of 2025. Regardless, it’s only a matter of time before we get to know what lies for Neymar in the future.
