Speaking on the future of Neymar’s career, a Brazilian journalist shared his take on the impending hardships that will follow the player during his recovery.

The former Barcelona winger has been prone to injuries since his early days. However, the frequency of knocks accelerated after he joined PSG. To put more focus on how frequent his injuries were, Neymar has played only 173 games in his six years of stay in Paris.

Neymar, with his dribbling skills and prowess on the ball, is always a delight to see at work. But the forward we had known might not be the same when he returns from his injury this time. Brazilian journalist, Robson Morelli, shed light on the difficulties that the soccer star will have to go through during his recovery.

In his column on Estadao, Morelli points out the extensive period that the Brazilian has been ruled out for. Talking about the concerns of being forgotten the columnist said, “Neymar’s problem is with his career. It seems to be on the rocks and he hasn’t realized it. , because of the injury, will have to wait nine months to happen. That’s the deadline for his return. Nine months is a long time. Neymar runs the risk of being forgotten.”

The Brazilian journalist further points out as he added, “His name won’t be in the sports news until he plays again. He’ll have to get active on social media so that he doesn’t allow himself to fall off the map. I say that from a sporting point of view.“ The forward will further lose his spot in the Brazilian national team as there are plans to bring Carlo Ancelotti on board next year.

In the 2021-22 season, Ney faced ankle and abductor problems, which kept him out of for around 22 games. Prior to this, he had many small injuries, however, his metatarsal fractures in the 2019-20 season kept him out of action for two to three months. During this, he missed some crucial UCL games, and eventually, PSG was knocked out in the early stages of the competition.
