It shocked the soccer fans as Folarin Balogun keeps on putting Ligue 1 on fire. He has scored 15 goals in 1682 minutes he had spent on the field. Arsenal’s young striker came across the leagues on a loan and proved that he had the skills to rule a league with big names. There are just hours left from when PSG and Bayern face off for the UEFA Champions League round of 17 legs 1. The PSG is going through a rocky phase. Apart from a couple of games here and there, they didn’t have any substantial output since Lionel Messi returned from his World Cup triumph. There are reports of some internal arguments within PSG after their defeat last night.
USA-born players don’t play soccer for the USA
Folarin Balogun outscored the Ligue 1 with 15 goals and Jonathan David is just 1 goal behind having played 3 fewer matches. The players are putting a clinic on the soccer field. However, one more detail that is common in these soccer stars is that they are both born in New York.

The shocking thing is, despite being born in the States, they haven’t played a single match for the USMNT yet. Jonathan David’s parents emigrated to Canada when he was just six. He went to school in Canada and eventually started playing soccer there. He is now an important piece of the Canadian national soccer team. Meanwhile, the story of Folarin Balogun is similar to David’s.
His family relocated to England when he was just 2. 21 years old Balogun is eligible to represent the USA, England, and Nigeria. He had represented the USA in U-18, however; he is yet to receive a call-up for the senior team.
Fans are screaming at the US Soccer Federation to do something about this however, their stance in this situation remains unknown. One of the most talented youngsters in a league that has Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, is up for grabs and the US Soccer Federation seems to be ignoring this enormous opportunity.
