Last night, Ronaldo set another milestone for himself as he reached 200 caps for Portugal. His achievement is earning him a lot of praise, as his sister, Katia Aveiro, also had some words to quote for him. In fact, those weren’t just words; it was rather a big letter that highlighted the struggles and praises of CR7’s journey so far.
In one paragraph, she wrote that their mother, Dolores, didn’t want to bear Cris and was thinking of an abortion. This was due to their poor family conditions, as they didn’t have enough to feed so many mouths. However, something stopped Dolores as raised the baby.

Following Ronaldo’s birth, Katia revealed that her mother didn’t want Cris to end up like his alcoholic father. In the Instagram post where she added a picture of Ronaldo, she wrote, “He got it into his head that he wasn’t going to be like the shadows. That he wouldn’t be like his father who surrendered to alcohol – and that’s why Cristiano never drank a drop of alcohol.”
She also hailed her brother, saying that despite facing such adverse conditions, he managed to become the phenom he is now. While praising his 200 cap achievement, she wrote, “I’m just mortal. Me and you. Cristiano is something else. He will die like us, but then he will be sent to the garden of the immortals.” Indeed, it is quite a heartfelt message for Ronaldo, who also made it to the Guinness World Records.
