“Such a Nice Guy” – Torched by Nikola Jokic and Nuggets, Jimmy Butler’s Now Talk of the Town ‘Friendship’ With Neymar Jr Revealed

The Denver Nuggets won their first NBA title in the franchise’s history. The team led by Nikola Jokic brushed the Miami Heat away by winning the series 4-1. As for the Heat, they had a stunning run to the NBA finals after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics incredibly. In that run, Jimmy Butler produced one of the finest playoff runs in NBA history. Despite the Nuggets cooling the Heat away, Butler became the talk of the town. Even more so, his friendship with Brazilian soccer star Neymar became the chief attraction at the Heat games. 

Fans were curious to understand their budding relationship in recent months. And they have their wishes fulfilled as the PSG star appeared in an interview to detail their beautiful bond. The respect he showed Butler was heartwarming. 

Neymar details friendship with Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler

In the sit-down interview with NBA, Neymar explained, “We first met because he made a video of playing soccer in Brazil’s uniform. Then we started exchanging messages through Instagram and over the phone. Soon he went to Paris, and we met in person, and then, he went to my place in Rio. And we became even closer.” The Brazilian appeared for the two Miami Heat’s home games at the Kaseya Center. Despite not being able to win in those two games, Neymar came in to support his friend. He explained how close they have become in recent times. 

Neymar continued, “Nowadays we have close contact. I love him. He is such a nice guy, not only with me but with everyone around. I admire him a lot, not only on the court but off the court as well. This friendship is very special.” Likewise, Butler explained how he got inspiration from watching the soccer star’s videos and vice versa. But the disappointing news would be the failure of Butler to carry the playoffs momentum to the finals. Although he tried hard, Nuggets grew too strong for the shooting guard.
