When people get wealthy, it is the opposite of how one feels secure. In fact, many issues surface with having more money. Divorces are common across the globe, and many people end up losing vast amounts of wealth. Likewise, there are many instances of high-profile divorces which happen globally. To keep hold of their wealth, people sign a prenuptial agreement to risk losing any money. Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez wished to marry each other. However, he, too, signed an agreement to keep his net worth intact while putting in some clauses. Many people do this, and Michael Jordan is another example of this agreement.
After his previous marriage ended in divorce in 2006, Jordan signed a prenuptial agreement to control the property division. Therefore, the soccer star signed a similar arrangement with Rodriguez.

According to Eldesmarque, Ronaldo and his long-standing girlfriend decided to tie the knot after years of dating. Like typical proceedings, CR7 signed a prenuptial agreement before they got married. A prenuptial agreement is a legal contract between two partners before getting married, where the contract includes the distribution of assets, liabilities, and issues. They agreed to safeguard the soccer player’s assets during separation.
The agreement is fair to both parties, as Georgina will receive the Madrid family home in La Finca (Pozuelo), which will be under her name. Moreover, as per the agreement, Georgina would receive $107,000 monthly for life. Notably, conditions are subject to change after the birth of their second daughter. She will be the mother of twins Eva and Mateo, and not only Alana and Bella Esmeralda. The terms and conditions would be perfect for both parties with the distribution of properties and wealth.
It is common for most people to have this. Significantly, Microsoft founder Bill Gates had a settlement of up to $76 billion to his wife, Melinda Gates. But Michael Jordan learned the hard way after his first divorce.

Michael Jordan’s infamous divorce
Jordan married his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 1989 but later filed for divorce in 2006. Vanoy gained a $168 million settlement from Jordan and became one of the highest-settlement in a divorce during that time. Learning from his lessons, he signed a prenuptial agreement in his second marriage. His wife is entitled to receive $1 million for every year they remain married according to the prenuptial agreement. However, if their marriage lasts more than ten years, she will receive $5 million per year of marriage.
It is reasonable for people to do, and one cannot question the ethics of a relationship when they sign this. Moreover, it is a normal process in the world, and life does take its weird routes. Therefore, signing a prenuptial agreement can be helpful for both parties, as witnessed by other settlements.
