Shakira has been a major presence in the music industry for decades. Over the years, she has appeared in numerous interviews on live television. Apart from the hilarious ‘Valentine’ moment with Shaquille O’Neal, the singer has had another savage moment on television too. The incident took place decades ago. However, thanks to social media, such controversial clips will always keep doing rounds on the internet.

Everyone was quite surprised after viewing the clip. It is safe to say that Shakira turned the interaction with the host of the show from awkward to savage with just one single line.

What was Shakira’s awkward ‘waist’ moment all about?

It is quite an old clip, as Shakira looks extremely young in the video. While it is just a 13-second video, the Colombian singer doesn’t need any longer to silence the host. The clip is from Otro Rollo, a long-running and famous Mexican television show. Popular Mexican comedian, Adal Ramones, was the host of the show.

During the show, Ramones was seemingly speaking to the singer about her stunning waist. Along with being a good singer, the Colombian has also become an exceptional dancer over the years, with her hip movements gaining praise. Whilst speaking to Shakira, the host suddenly tried to grab the singer by the waist, and Shakira removed Ramones’ hand from her.

Further, the host tried to compensate for the awkward moment. He said, “If you want you can grab me”,  as per El Heraldo and translated by Google Translate. However, the Waka–Waka singer turned that moment from awkward to epic after revealing that she wasn’t interested in touching him.

Big Shaq once tried to kiss Shakira!

Back in 2010, Shak and Shaq shared quite a funny moment on television. It was Valentine’s Day week and the NBA legend was ever-ready to go out on a date with Shakira. During his interaction with her on camera, he decided to try his luck. He said, “I’d like to ask you a question…will you be my Valentine?”. He then surprisingly leaned in for a kiss at that very moment.

The Latin Pop star seemed a bit confused at first. However, she quickly backed away from the camera frame. She also whispered, “He’s too tall”. While that drama was on, TNT’s Craig Sager steps up in front of Shaq and hilariously kisses him instead with his hand in between. While both of them have moved on from that incident, nobody really knows if they ended up going out at some point.
