In the last several windows, the Saudi League has brought superstar signings like NeymarBenzema, and others. However, none of them has made an impact like Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid star Nacho has also praised his former teammate. He has lauded him for opening the doors of the cash-rich league to the other star players.

As far as on-the-pitch is concerned, Nacho hopes to influence Los Blancos in the Spanish Super Cup final. On the other side, the Al Nassr will hope to win the title race this season over Al Hilal.

The Saudi League is currently the talk of town for good and bad reasons. Cristiano Ronaldo is the person who has brought the attention of the fans to the cash-rich league. What followed after the Portuguese forward was the Saudi clubs making huge signings that became the news in the European market. But Nacho feels that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves the praise for it. Ahead of the Spanish Super Cup final, speaking on the Saudi League, he said, “Cristiano Ronaldo influenced many players to come to Saudi Arabia and play here.” 

It is not the first time a Los Blancos star has praised the impact of the Al Nassr. In an earlier interview, Federico Valverde also pointed out the significant impact of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid star midfielder has praised the progress the league has made in the last two years. He also pointed out that the Portuguese forward has made the cash-rich league an attractive watch.

Valverde also praised the ambitions the league displayed in bringing in one of the best soccer players in history. But, as far as Saudi Arabia is concerned, they are not showing any signs of stopping.

Saudi League targeting more European stars in the January transfer window

Several fans thought the cash-rich league would not spend much to balance their financials. However, the clubs are not in the mood as they want to take full advantage of their reputation. Meanwhile, Al Hilal is already closing in on the signing of Brazilian left-back Renan Lodi. Karim Benzema-led-Al Ittihad is closing in on the signing of Atlético Madrid star Angel Correa.

The Knights of Najd are also working on signing superstars. According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo and the club officials are trying their best to sign Manchester United duo Raphael Varane and Casemiro. They are also eyeing a deal to sign David De Gea on a free transfer.
