Shakira has relocated to the US with her kids. Months after their breakup, the 46-year-old decided to release a bunch of tracks targeting former partner, Gerard Pique. The fanbase, which has been much involved in their messy split, has now become toxic towards the Barcelona veteran. In order to get her kids out of the mess, the Colombian has moved to her beach house in Miami.

Months before her breakup, the singer had revealed that she used to, in a way, ‘torture’ Gerard Pique when she needed help balancing her two lives.

In 2021, Shakira was the cover star for Cosmopolitan’s November edition. During the interview, she highlighted the challenges of being a music producer and mother at the same time. Considering the young age of her kids, the singer had led two separate lives, one professional and the other personal.

She admitted that it would get tricky to not think about work while she was at home with her children. She told Cosmopolitan, “That’s when having a partner who’s completely opposite in that sense comes in handy. My mind never stops. I dream about my kids, I worry about them constantly. I torture my poor husband. Well, he’s not really my…I don’t know what to call him!”, as per E-News.

She continued, “He’s my baby daddy. I torture him about every issue I see with my kids”. Little did the fanbase know that the much-revered couple would call it quits. Months later, the two announced their separation on social media.

After parting ways with each other, Pique moved out of their Barcelona mansion. A few months later, Shakira gained legal custody of Milan and Sasha, their children. Since then, things have seemingly turned sour between the former couple. Shakira has released back-to-back diss tracks that have damaged the reputation of the soccer star.
