Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds forked over $2.5 million to attain full ownership of the club. At the time, experts criticized and mocked the stars for making this decision. However, as things turned out, the Hollywood stars had the last laugh in this battle.

Talking about that period months later, Rob McElhenney had stern words for everyone who doubted the club. He would go on and drop a bombshell of a tweet. The creator of it’s always sunny in Philadelphia wrote, “When we started looking at this league we were told ‘no one cares’. Good God, am I glad we didn’t listen to those morons.”
