Cristiano Ronaldo ended his first season with his new club, Al Nassr. It was quite a rollercoaster journey for the Portuguese striker, facing many ups and downs. While it wasn’t the denouement he wanted to have, he failed to win a single trophy. However, the skipper must be eager to turn things around in the next season.
Next season, he may see familiar faces in the league, with the likes of Karim Benzema and Nglolo Kante arriving in the Gulf country. In fact, he may get to have a reunion with yet another familiar face.

Ronaldo is reportedly set to have a reunion with his former manager, Massimiliano Allegri. As stated by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian manager has received not one but two lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia. The first offer comes from the CR7’s team, Al Nassr, while the other one comes from Al-Hilal.
A meeting was to be held in London; however, that has been shifted to Monte Carlo instead. The Italian boss will be listening to both offers. Allegri has two years left in his contract, and Juventus won’t stand at the exit door. The Old Lady already has replacements in mind, with both of them being their former players, Antonio Conte and Igor Tudor.
Earlier, Allegri rejected a move to Real Madrid as he preferred a move to his former club, after getting sacked in 2019. Nevertheless, given how Juventus ended their season, his exit won’t be regretted. Moreover, with the Saudi move, he could either reunite with his former player, Ronaldo, or see him as an opponent with Al Hilal.
Given that he chooses CR7’s side, it would be an awkward reunion, after what he said about Ronaldo earlier.

Allegri once took a sly dig at Ronaldo, claiming that the Turin side felt more like a team without the Portuguese forward. The Italian subtly slammed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in a press conference. “I think that personal targets have been put aside and there is more focus on the team. We have been together for six or seven months now.”
As stated by Daily Mail, the gaffer insists that the team got to know each other better. “We feel more like a team,” he added. He took an indirect hit, suggesting that Ronaldo’s departure has helped the club grow as a team. Indeed, it was a huge claim from Allegri. The 38-year-old won’t be happy to hear the words of his former coach and will definitely give him an eye.
