Months After ‘Great Club’ Message From Cristiano Ronaldo, $48 Million Superstar Receives Massive Offer From Saudi Arabian Club, as Per Reports

The Saudi Arabian League is gaining traction because of various soccer stars wanting to join the league. One remembers the Chinese Super League when they plucked up stars from European clubs by offering monstrous wages. Similarly, the Saudi League is attracting players by offering lavish contract offers. Now, they have offered a contract to one of the best players in the world, Sadio Mane. He joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool, and things have not gone as planned. Mane could follow in the path of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese also played a part in the former Liverpool winger’s transfer to Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo explained how Bayern was a ‘great club’ before Mane joined the club. Yet, a sizable club in Saudi Arabia has offered him a contract according to reports. 

Saudi club offers a contract to Sadio Mane 

Sadio Mane won the German league title in dramatic circumstances after Bayern Munich clinched the title on the final day. Borussia Dortmund failed to win their league match, which handed Bayern the title. But his performances for the club have failed to impress. With Saudi clubs looking to poach players from different leagues, Mane is a player who can still come in and perform at the highest level. During his spell at Liverpool, he became one of the vital components of Jurgen Klopp’s gegenpressing team. 

He, along with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, led the Liverpool attack to create a brand of soccer never seen before. He scored 90 goals and set up 29 assists in 196 appearances for the club. Likewise, Mane won numerous trophies with the club, including the Premier League and the Champions League. But this season, his form has gone under the radar. Mane scored 12 goals and created six assists in 38 appearances as the club looked to replace Robert Lewandowski, who now plays with Barcelona.

All of this comes after Cristiano Ronaldo offered his advice to join Bayern Munich. Ronaldo explained how Bayern became a perfect fit for him, and one cannot conclude about the player’s first season performances with the club. 

Cristiano Ronaldo advised Mane to join the German giants

After playing for Liverpool for some time, Mane mentioned his conversation with Ronaldo before making his next move. According to SportBild, he mentioned, “I met Cristiano Ronaldo in Mallorca before this season after my move was completed. He congratulated me and told me: ‘A great club. This is a great step for you.”
