Months After Cristiano Ronaldo’s Outburst, Manchester United Boss Erik Ten Hag Defends Team’s Training Facilities

Over the last 10 years, Manchester United have arguably been amongst the most disappointing clubs in the Top 6 of the Premier League. The Red Devils have been marred by on-field and off-field issues that have affected the stability of their campaign. However, since Erik Ten Hag joined, the Premier League giants finally have found a point of reference who is adored by the fans and the players alike. Hence, it comes as no surprise that he recently defended the club opposing the claims of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils’ management has backed the Dutchman perfectly so far by fulfilling his wishlist of players. They also revamped the training facility recently which was extremely scrutinised by United legend Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United gaffer, in his recent interview, was asked about a host of things along with his thoughts on United’s training facilities to which he gave a contrary opinion to Ronaldo’s claims.

Erik Ten Hag defends Carrington

Erik Ten Hag in his latest interview admitted that some of Manchester United’s facilities were not up to his standard when he joined. However, he completely shunned down the notion that United’s training facility Carrington is outdated.

“There are also many conditions that are very well organized at Manchester United but, yes, in certain areas we were short. But in other things, for instance, Carrington, is a great facility,” opined the gaffer.

Ten Hag’s comments come after United announced a major revamp of their training ground this summer. The training ground has now added a dedicated wellness suite adjacent to aid quicker player recovery.

When Cristiano Ronaldo blasted Manchester United’s training facilities

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United ended in the worst possible manner with an ugly fallout between both. The end of CR7’s tenure saw the former Juventus player reveal all his gripes with Manchester United in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo was a key part of the golden era of Manchester United. However, things fell off with time so much that Ronaldo upon returning was stumped by the mediocrity of the club. He claimed that since Sir Alex Ferguson left, Carrington has fallen off big time and Sie Alex himself knows it.

“Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed He [Ferguson] knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows,” said Cristiano boldly. “The people who don’t see that… it’s because they don’t want to see. They are blind,” revealed the former Real Madrid player to Piers Morgan.
