It has been more than five years since Messi, and Ronaldo’s rivalry ended in La Liga. Over the years, there have been many rumors building about their possible reunion. They were even rumored to be possible teammates.

That is still a dream for many soccer enthusiasts, which is yet to be witnessed by many. We don’t know if they’ll become teammates, but there is still a way to get their rivalry back.

Will Lionel Messi join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia?

According to various sources, Al-Hilal is eyeing a potential move for PSG superstar Lionel Messi. The Saudi Arabian side is willing to offer the Argentine a contract worth $350 million.

This is more than Ronaldo’s recent $200 million deal he got from their rival, Al Nassr. Messi’s contract is ending at the end of the season, and he has yet to pen an extension. PSG is reportedly ready to offer a lucrative deal to the 35-year-old.

The Argentine currently earns $41 million at Parc des Princes, and if he agrees to join the Middle Eastern club, his salary will increase manifold. Moreover, this would also be one of the biggest contracts in the history of sports.

Al-Hilal is sitting in third place and is keen to close the gap on league leader, Al-Nassr. Hence, signing Messi would be, of course, a boost for the Arabian side. The only thing left is to convince the attacker to join the league alongside his former competition.

What’s next for Messi?

Al Hilal isn’t the only side that is interested in the World Cup winner. David Beckham’s Inter Miami is also keeping tabs on his situation. They have formally asked about the Argentine during his time in Barcelona.

Talking about his former club, a magical return to Nou Camp is also on the cards. The Catalan giants are getting their finances back on track and are confident to sign the legend.
