As teams around the world carried forward with their pre-season, Al Nassr also kicked off their own in style. The Saudi Pro League’s runner-up recently played an empathic fixture against Portugal’s second-division side, Farense. Subsequently, before the match, Ronaldo was given a brilliant tribute.

Farense’s captain greeted Ronaldo and even dedicated the club’s shirt with his name on it. The CR7 happily accepted the tribute and hugged the skipper with a broad smile. Indeed, it is a heartwarming tribute from the rival team, and the 38-year-old must be more than happy to receive it. Interestingly, Ronaldo didn’t play the fixture as he sat in the stands to cheer for his side.

Apparently, Ronaldo’s teammates thrashed the home side 5-1. That may have hurt them a bit, but it definitely gives them a sense of relief that it was just a friendly match. On the other hand, it also indicates, how much Al Nassr is actually focused on their pre-season tour as they look to finish it in style.

Al Nassr started their pre-season on a high note after clinching an emphatic victory against Farense. Likewise, they will be looking to continue their winning streak in the upcoming friendly fixtures. Now, their next fixture is against Celta Vigo on July 18th. The third one is against another Portuguese side, Benfica, on July 21.
