Manchester City had a comfortable outing against West Ham United earlier tonight with the reigning champions picking up a 3-1 win to seal their fourth consecutive Premier League title. While the team has every right to be excited about their win, things could have been very different with West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus almost pulling his team back into the game with a stunning goal in the closing minutes of the first half. Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola is interested in the player!

Mohammed Kudus gave his best throughout 90 minutes, with the Hammers star putting Manchester City in a nervy position. However, the player did not receive any support from his teammates as most of them were held up by City’s dominant possession game. Kudus has been very impressive for the London-based club and has caught the eye of Pep Guardiola.

In fact, the Manchester City boss even singled out the player alongside some of his teammates before the game. Guardiola stated, “Kudus is an exceptional player. Bowen has been outstanding for many years, and Antonio, when fit, is incredible. Paqueta is a top-class player with a wide range of skills. That’s why I’m focused. All four of them can produce something unique and special at any moment. That is my only concern right now.”

Kudus moved to West Ham for $45 million earlier this season and has flourished under David Moyes. Despite his initial injury, the attacking midfielder has been a focal part of the team, attracting attention from some top clubs worldwide.

Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot keen on raiding West Ham

The Hammers had a sub-par season this time around, with David Moyes’ side finishing 9th in the league standings. However, there were some standalone performances from some of their top players, with Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta emerging as transfer targets for big clubs in England. According to reports, Manchester City and Liverpool have an eye on the Hammers as they look to replace some of their departing stars.

Pep Guardiola has been vocal about his admiration for Paqueta and could make a move for the Brazilian if Bernardo Silva leaves the club. Meanwhile, Liverpool is also observing the situation and will launch an official bid for Mohammed Kudus if Salah leaves the club for Saudi Arabia. Premier League runner-up Arsenal is also interested in Kudus’ services and could make a move for the player if they cannot land Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes.
